NEW YORK FOLLOWED BY MOSCOW FOLLOWED BY DUBAI. THEN I SHOULD CALM DOWN FOR THE RITZ OPENING
Dreams can come true. I remember working in the bar of the Hotel Warwick in 1983. On the menu appeared a cocktail called the" VSOE". That was when I first really became acqainted with the myth of the Venice Simplon Orient Express. The chef of the splendid Hotel Warwick restaurant, Les Couronnes was Christian Bodiguel who very soon was to become the famous Chef of the very same magical train flowing through the past into the present.
We had to know our cocktails and everything about them inside out. The more I read about the Venise Simplon Orient Express the more I was fascinated. Images of Agatha Christies' book and that superb film many years later, I never read the book actually, but I did see the film several times (I worked in a cinema on Saturdays and Sundays when I was at school) flowed through my imagination and I really wanted to experience that very special adventure in time.
Well it's going to happen. How brilliant! I really can't wait!!
