NEW YORK FOLLOWED BY MOSCOW FOLLOWED BY DUBAI. THEN I SHOULD CALM DOWN FOR THE RITZ OPENING
The word Serendipity means a "happy accident" or "pleasant surprise"; specifically, the accident of finding something good or useful without looking for it. The word has been voted one of the ten English words hardest to translate in June 2004 by a British translation company.
The Serendipity cocktail was created by Colin Peter Field for Jean Louis Constanza in 1994. He was looking for a cocktail to go with a Romeo & Julietta Cazadores.
The cocktail quickly became not only a favourite of the guests but also the favourite cocktail to sell by all the bartenders of the Hemingway bar.
Heralded by the Larousse Encyclopedia of Cocktails as a modern day classic. It is also the official Cocktail of all the Mayors cocktail events in the Normandy area.
The Bars of the Ritz use 9 bottles of Calvados a day, a national french bar record, not even surpassed in the best bars of the Calvados area.
